ART THINKING WORKSHOP

In our private and business lives, we tend to put a lot of effort into improving ourselves, our community, and our environment by adopting new ways of solving problems and making the right decisions. A puzzle that can unlock our creativity, our innermost thoughts, and emotions — that is ART.

Art focuses our skills on observation, listening, thinking, and reasoning, and it develops our capacity for self-discovery. The artist's inner world and real world experiences, from which we can tap our own creativity, emotions, doubts, and decisions, are interwoven in the artist’s art. If we want to understand what art is telling us, then we have to hone our ability to do so. That is exactly why the Art Thinking method was developed.

The Art Thinking method develops your visual perception, creativity, and critical thinking, using examples from artworks. You don't need to know much about art to participate. All you need is an open mind to enter the world of art and artists, guided by an art historian.

The Art Thinking workshop begins with an introduction and a short story about the theory and methodology of art history. It continues with selected examples of works of art, divided into three groups. Depending on the artworks selected by the participants, the workshop sets off on a course of discovery for participants.

The goal of the workshop is for participants to discover and recognize new experiences, creative ideas, emotions, and possibilities through art, and use them in private and business environments.
