ALEKSANDAR BEZINOVIC

I became acquainted with Aleksander's work almost thirty years ago. At that time, in addition to painting, he worked as a restorer. Thanks to the strength and perseverance he carries within him, he bravely decided to devote himself entirely to painting. Aleksandar, like every academically trained painter, began his journey figuratively and slowly moved towards abstraction over the years.

The research of signs and symbols, and their implementation in his paintings, is evident from the beginning.

When we observe squares, triangles, circles, and semicircles in paintings, we notice constant transformations and new rhythms. In recent years, along with geometric shapes, color has started to play an important role in adding or subtracting rhythms in the picture.

Aleksandar's paintings take over with the energy contained in the layers of colors and lines emphasized by the author's interventions with a spike.

Each painting, from the first sketch of the rhythmic interaction of different geometric shapes to the final layer, summarizes exactly what the artist says about his works.

The paintings show his way of understanding the world; that every stroke, every color, reflects what he carries within himself and what he wants to share with others.
